Hi, I'm Ziv (pronounced "zeev") — I'm glad you found your way here.
I've been supporting clients through life's hardest chapters since 2017. I earned my MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University and completed my training at Exodus Recovery, where I worked with dual-diagnosis clients navigating both substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges. I also worked in a residential program for adolescents with eating disorders, providing individual, group, and family therapy. After years in clinical settings, I opened my private practice to offer something more personal — a space where clients aren't a caseload, where sessions aren't rushed, and where the work goes as deep as you need it to. In private practice, I can be fully present with you in a way that larger systems rarely allow. I became an EMDR therapist because I wanted to offer more than coping strategies. I wanted to help people truly heal.
My own becoming
I became a mother and nothing was ever the same. My birth experience was traumatic. The hormonal shifts, the anxiety, the complete dissolution of who I thought I was — I lived it. And in living it, I was reborn. That experience didn't just change me as a person — it transformed me as a therapist. It deepened my understanding of attachment, identity, and what it means to rebuild yourself from the inside out.
The Kintsugi philosophy
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold — honoring the cracks rather than hiding them. Healing doesn't mean returning to who you were before. Often it means becoming more fully who you are.
My approach
I draw from multiple evidence-based modalities and tailor every session to you — not a protocol. My work is holistic and trauma-informed, recognizing that your story has layers. EMDR · Narrative Therapy · Attachment Theory · CBT · DBT · Emotionally Focused Therapy · Psychodynamic · Person-Centered
